The girl was born in the late spring of 1978, in the southeast of England, to Amy and Ray Infield, who named her Katrina Amy Alexandra Alexis. When she was four years old, her parents divorced, and after six years, the mother of the future star married builder Paul.

She acquired the stepfather's surname Price and took her nickname Katie, so the model created the stage name which became world famous.
