Childhood and youth
Jason’s birthplace is Apple Valley. While at a school, Vargas found a passion of his life – baseball. It was his dad who introduced this kind of sport to young Vargas – the man worked as a head coach of the school’s squad.
In 2001 Vargas completed his school education. The same year, he applied for participation in the draft. The Minnesota Twins offered him to join them, but he denied and entered a college. While performing for its baseball team, Vargas’ run average was evaluated at 3.43.
Baseball career

In June 2019 he was mixed up with a serious scandal – he was accused of threatening a reporter Tim Healey and pushing him and got fined.
In July, the player was transmitted to the Philadelphia Phillies.
