Childhood and youth
The would-be actress was born on March 1, 1974, in The Bronx, New York. The girl grew up in an ordinary family of workers and had two brothers and a sister.
Little Cara was sure she wanted to devote her life to acting and successfully auditioned for a Broadway play without her parents’ assistance at the age of eleven. Buono learned how to combine theater and television work.
