Childhood and youth

Kasie Hunt was born on May 24, 1985, in Dearborn, Michigan, USA. She is the daughter of Bruce Hunt, a professor at the University of Vermont, and Krista Hunt, a yoga instructor. Hunt attended Conestoga High School in Berwyn, Pennsylvania, where she was a member of the field hockey team. She went on to study international affairs at George Washington University's Elliott School of International Affairs in Washington, D.C., where she graduated with a bachelor's degree in 2006.

During her time at university, Hunt was an intern at NBC News, where she worked on the "Today" show. This experience sparked her interest in journalism, and she went on to intern at several other news organizations, including CNN, National Journal, and MSNBC.
