Brown grew up in a working-class family in Marietta and attended Wheeler High School, where he began to make a name for himself as a basketball player. Brown's mother, Mechalle, worked multiple jobs to support the family, and his father, Tito, was a former soldier who suffered from addiction and spent time in prison.
