Christian Eriksen: biography

Christian Eriksen is a professional football player for Manchester United and the Denmark men's national football team. He is famous for his excellent individual performances, passing accuracy, and good balance and coordination skills.

Childhood and youth

Christian was born on February 14, 1992 in Middelfart, Denmark. His parents are Thomas and Dorthe Eriksen. The star's father is a football coach. So Christian has been interested in the game since he was a child. His younger sister Louise plays as a defender for Kolding IF.

At the age of 13, Eriksen joined Odense Boldklub and began participating in national championships.

Football career

The player's talent and impressive skills were noticed by some famous European clubs. He decided to go with Ajax, which is the most successful club in the Netherlands. In October 2008, Christian signed a contract with them.

Ajax

During his first season, the player took part in 21 games and scored one goal. In the following seasons, he received multiple awards and became one of the top players in the club. Eriksen helped them win several league titles. In 2013, he left Ajax and joined Tottenham Hotspur.

Tottenham Hotspur

In the 2013-2014 season, the player scored 10 goals, provided 13 assists, and received an award. The following years were also successful for him. He took part in 200 Premier League matches and set a new record for the most goals scored by a Danish player.

Inter Milan

In early 2020, he signed a contract with Inter Milan. In June 2021, Christian suffered a cardiac arrest while playing for Denmark at Euro 2020. The Boesen brothers that work as doctors managed to restart his heart. He underwent a successful surgery and was fitted with a defibrillator device. Eriksen wasn't allowed to play for Inter Milan. He started individual training 6 months after the collapse. According to his agent, Christian was optimistic about coming back to football.

Brentford

In January, 2022, the player joined Brentford. The club also competes in the League. Antonio Conte, Hotspur's coach, said that his return to top level performances after the accident was a surprise for everybody. There is a popular video where Brandon Williams gives a hug to Eriksen after initially being angry with him.

Manchester United

He joined Manchester in July 2022. Eriksen made his first assist in a game against Arsenal.

Personal life

Eriksen's wife is Sabrina Jensen, a professional stylist. In 2018, she gave birth to their son, Alfred. In December 2020, their second child was born.

Eriksen's favorite boots are Nike Magistra Obra and Nike Mercurial Vapor.
