    Blake Nolan Corum who was born on November 25, 2000 is an American football player. He is currently playing college football for the Michigan Wolverines team as a running back.

    Childhood and youth

    The player hails from Marshall, Virginia. Blake continued to live in the town even when he attended high school in Maryland. His parents' names are James and Christina. Blake's mom and dad remember him as an active child that spent the majority of his time outside. Corum comes from an agricultural background. His grandfather was a farmer, and the player's family was often living on farms when he was a child. His dad currently owns a landscaping firm. Blake was the first of four children. He has three sisters and doesn't have any brothers.

    Football career

    The future Michigan Wolverines star realized he was meant to be an athlete pretty early in life. At the age of five, he was already playing football and scored five touchdowns per game. Blake's parents supported his aspirations and hired him as a private coach, so he could continue to get better at the sport. By the time he reached high school age, Corum was already scouted by several schools. He settled for St. Vincent Pallotti High School in Maryland, while continuing to live in Marshall and taking four hour drives every day. Eventually, Blake found out that Saint Frances Academy in Baltimore provided better training for running backs and changed schools.

    As a result of his hard work in high school, he received offers from colleges in Michigan and Ohio. In December 2019, the player committed to the University of Michigan. At the beginning of 2020, Blake began attending the school and joined its team, the Michigan Wolverines. As a freshman, he appeared in five games. The next season was a breakthrough for him. He averaged 141 rushing yards per game. Blake also became the first Michigan player to record a third straight 100-yard rushing game since 2011.

    In November 2022, Corum sustained a knee injury and was benched for the rest of the game. Another Michigan Wolverines running back, Donovan Edwards, suffered a hand injury, which put the team in a difficult position. Blake also sprained his ankle in November 2021.

    Corum's total career stats are 2,378 rushing yards, 38 rushing touchdowns and 2 receiving touchdowns.
