    Childhood and youth

    Jeffrey Pierce was born on December 13, 1971, in Denver, Colorado, and spent most of his childhood in the state. Growing up, Pierce was interested in both acting and music and played the drums in several local bands. He attended Cherry Creek High School in Greenwood Village, Colorado, where he participated in theater productions and played in the school's jazz band.

    After high school, Pierce attended the University of Colorado at Boulder, where he studied acting and earned his Bachelor of Fine Arts degree. During his time at the university, he continued to perform in theater productions and also began to explore voice acting, which would become a significant part of his career.

    Jeffrey Pierce made his acting debut playing Bill Drake in the 1997 episode "Soulmate" of the TV series Pacific Blue.     However, Pierce's most notable role to date is in the 2005 science-fiction TV series Charlie Jade, where he portrayed the title character. Nevertheless, the team was impressed by Pierce's audition and immediately contacted him when they needed to cast an actor for the role of Tommy. Pierce reprised his role in the game's 2020 sequel, The Last of Us Part II, for which he received a nomination for Performer in a Supporting Role at the 17th British Academy Games Awards. He also appeared in a guest role on HBO's The Last of Us television series, which is based on the video game.
