    Jeffrey Pierce whose real name is Jeffrey Douglas Plitt is an American actor and voice actor who is best known for his work in video games, including voicing the character of Tommy in the popular game "The Last of Us" and its sequel "The Last of Us Part II."

    Childhood and youth

    Jeffrey Pierce was born on December 13, 1971, in Denver, Colorado, and spent most of his childhood in the state. Growing up, Pierce was interested in both acting and music and played the drums in several local bands. He attended Cherry Creek High School in Greenwood Village, Colorado, where he participated in theater productions and played in the school's jazz band.

    After high school, Pierce attended the University of Colorado at Boulder, where he studied acting and earned his Bachelor of Fine Arts degree. During his time at the university, he continued to perform in theater productions and also began to explore voice acting, which would become a significant part of his career.

    Movie career

    Jeffrey Pierce made his acting debut playing Bill Drake in the 1997 episode "Soulmate" of the TV series Pacific Blue. Since then, he has appeared in various guest roles on numerous television shows. He has also showcased his acting skills in movies such as S1m0ne, The Foreigner, and The Double.

    However, Pierce's most notable role to date is in the 2005 science-fiction TV series Charlie Jade, where he portrayed the title character. The show was aired in the United States on Sci-Fi Channel in 2008. Additionally, Pierce has recurring roles in several other TV series, including For the People, Alcatraz, Cult, The Tomorrow People, Bosch, and Castle Rock.

Notably, he provided the voice and motion-capture of Tommy Miller in the video game, The Last of Us, which became his most prominent role. Although he initially auditioned for the part of Joel Miller, his fellow castmate Troy Baker secured the role. Nevertheless, the team was impressed by Pierce's audition and immediately contacted him when they needed to cast an actor for the role of Tommy. Pierce reprised his role in the game's 2020 sequel, The Last of Us Part II, for which he received a nomination for Performer in a Supporting Role at the 17th British Academy Games Awards. He also appeared in a guest role on HBO's The Last of Us television series, which is based on the video game.
