India Ria Amarteifio, an English actress, who embarked on her acting journey as a young performer in the esteemed West End. Childhood and youth

India Ria was born in Kingston upon Thames on September 7, 2001. She was raised in Twickenham, Amarteifio hails from diverse cultural roots. Her father has Ghanaian heritage, while her mother comes from a German background. In 2012, she became a member of the Richmond Academy of Dance, where she discovered her passion for performing arts. Her exceptional talent led her to audition for and secure a scholarship to attend the prestigious Sylvia Young Theatre School.

Movie career

In 2011, Amarteifio marked her impressive debut on the West End stage, captivating audiences as young Nala in the renowned production of The Lion King at the Lyceum Theatre. Following this success, she graced the stage of the Cambridge Theatre in Matilda the Musical, where she portrayed the character of Hortensia. Displaying her versatility, Amarteifio joined the original cast of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory in 2013 at the Theatre Royal, Drury Lane, taking on the alternating role of Violet Beauregarde. That same year, she made her foray into television with her debut appearance in the BBC One film Gangsta Granny.

In 2015, Amarteifio ventured into the world of miniseries, showcasing her talent in The Interceptor and making a guest appearance in the Doctor Who series 9 episode "The Magician's Apprentice", both aired on BBC One. She also embarked on a leading role in the Disney Channel series The Evermoor Chronicles, playing the character of Lacie Fairburn, a role she reprised in subsequent series. Her career continued to flourish as she secured recurring roles in popular shows such as Line of Duty, portraying Roz Huntley's (Thandiwe Newton) daughter Sophie in the fourth series, and The Tunnel, in which she played Maya Roebuck in the third series, aired on Sky Atlantic and Canal+.

Amarteifio's talent transcended the small screen, as she made her feature film debut in the 2019 comedy-drama Military Wives. Her prowess in acting led her to the Sky Max science fiction series The Midwich Cuckoos in 2022, where she skillfully portrayed the character Nora Randall. The following year, she took on the leading role in the Netflix period drama prequel Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story, portraying a young version of Golda Rosheuvel's titular character.
