Cavan Thomas Biggio is an American professional baseball utility player who currently plays for the Toronto Blue Jays in Major League Baseball (MLB). He follows in the footsteps of his father, the legendary MLB player and Hall of Famer, Craig Biggio.

Childhood and youth

Cavan Biggio was born on April 11, 1995, in Houston, Texas. Growing up, Cavan was immersed in the world of baseball, with his father being a legendary player for the Houston Astros. Baseball career

In the 2016 Major League Baseball draft, Cavan Biggio was chosen by the Toronto Blue Jays in the fifth round. He signed with the Blue Jays on June 17, accepting a draft slot bonus of $300,000, and began his professional career with the Vancouver Canadians in the Class A-Short Season Northwest League. Biggio's impressive performance led to his selection as an All-Star for Vancouver on July 26. He later joined the Lansing Lugnuts in the Class A Midwest League, where he showcased his skills in 62 games, batting .273 with 26 RBIs and 11 stolen bases, demonstrating his plate discipline by walking 33 times.
