Felicity Jones is a British actress, popular on IMDb, the star of such films as The Theory of Everything, Chalet Girl, Inferno, and Rogue One: A Star Wars Story.

Felicity Jones was born in a suburb of Birmingham, West Midlands, England, called Bournville. The girl's parents were directly connected with the media. Her father, Gareth Jones, worked as a journalist of a local newspaper, and her mother, Julia Hadley, worked in advertising for The Express & Star newspaper.

When Felicity was only three years old, her parents filed for divorce. The girl and her older brother stayed under their mother's care, but the children used to keep in touch with their father who still played a hand in their upbringing. By the way, it was Gareth who instilled a love for movies and theater in Felicity Jones. Her uncle, actor Michael Hadley, who starred in the famous films Unrelated and Cast Away, also supported the girl's passion for creativity.

Felicity Jones spent her school years in an academy school for girls, Kings Norton Girls' School, and then went on to King Edward VI Handsworth School. Even though by the time of receiving her GCE Advanced Level certificate, the girl had played in several films, Felicity decided to acquire higher education majoring in something different from acting.

Jones studied English literature at Wadham College, Oxford. However, there the girl spent most of the time at the student theater, where she played in Shakespeare's comedies as well as tragedies. In 2007, Jones made her debut on the professional stage of The Royal Court Theater in London.

The movie tells the story of the life of the scientist who is famous for his numerous discoveries in the field of black holes, gravitational singularity and other aspects connected with space, time and the possible existence of parallel dimensions, including various fascinating moments of his private life, despite his illness and gloomy predictions of doctors. At the age of 21, Stephen Hawking was diagnosed with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis which eventually led to complete paralysis. The doctors claimed that the young man had only two years left to live; however, he continued working for more than a dozen years.

Jones successfully portrayed Jane Hawking, the wife of the legendary scientist. For this role, the actress was even nominated for the Academy Award, however, that year, Julianne Moore was the one who got the hold of the Oscar.

In summer of 2016, the Japanese premiere of the British-German action movie, Collide, starring Felicity Jones and Nicholas Hoult took place. In autumn, the movie was shown at the American Film Festival in Deauville. Hoult plays a former car thief and drug dealer, who is hiding in Germany from American justice, he meets a girl (Felicity Jones) and decides to quit the life of crime. But when it turns out that the girl is sick and needs a kidney transplant, he returns to the criminal world.

The film received negative reviews from film critics and couldn't pay off at the box office.

Also, in the autumn of 2016, film lovers had an opportunity to see two motion pictures featuring Felicity. In September, at the Toronto film festival, the premiere of fantasy film A Monster Calls, also featuring Sigourney Weaver, took place. Felicity Jones plays the mother of the central character, a boy named Conor O'Malley, who finds a monster inside an old yew tree near the house. In October, the action mystery thriller film Inferno, on which the actress worked together with Tom Hanks, came out on the big screen. Tom Hanks, as in previous films, played the role of Professor of religious symbology, Dr. Robert Langdon. Felicity Jones got the part of Dr. Sienna Brooks. Together, the scientists must solve the riddle of Dante's Divine Comedy, to save the Earth from destruction.

The next film in the career of the actress easily beat these premieres when it came to the expectation ratings, as well as at the box office. In December of 2016, Felicity Jones appeared as the main character, Jyn Erso, in the epic space-opera film, Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, the first full-length spin-off of the famous fantastic saga Star Wars.

The film moves away from the storyline of the Skywalker family, the main characters of the previous movies and parts of the series, and shows the lives of the Rebel Alliance fighters. The film logically closes the plot holes of the "old" trilogy – questions about how the drawings of the space superweapon of the Empire came to Princess Leia and why such an object could even have a vulnerability that allows one to destroy it from the outside.

The character of the actress is the daughter of the creator of that base, and the girl joins the Rebel Alliance intelligence to redeem her father and find out why he came back to continue his work in that station.

However, the film turned out to be interesting even for the viewers who were not familiar with the great franchise, because it told a fascinating military drama story about fighters who go on a death mission against military intelligence of the tyrant state. Rouge One became the second of the highest-grossing movies of 2016, losing only to the action movie Captain America: Civil War.

During her studies in College at Oxford, Felicity Jones met her future boyfriend, Ed Fornieles, who studied fine arts and became a professional artist. The young people were together for more than ten years, but in 2013 they broke off their relationship. Later, Felicity Jones was said to have had a love affair with her colleague on the set of Chalet Girl, Ed Westwick, but the actress never confirmed these rumors.

Then the celebrity lived alone in the East End, near London for a while. Sometime later, she met a guy and, according to the performer, at once knew he was the one. Felicity Jones' husband is Charles Guard, and the couple got married in 2018. The famous Britt doesn't enjoy sharing the details of her love life on social media.
