Los Angeles Chargers
He agreed to a one-year deal with the Los Angeles Chargers on April 1, 2018. Eugene made his Chargers debut in Week 6, catching one ball for eight yards as the Chargers defeated the Cleveland Browns 38-14. He played in five relief roles overall throughout the 2018 season.
Seattle Seahawks
On May 15, 2019, Eugene committed to the Seattle Seahawks. He and Paxton Lynch battled it out to be Russell Wilson's backup. Along with Lynch, he was dismissed on August 31, 2019, but the following day he was re-signed, securing the backup position. During his first year with the squad, Eugene did not participate in any games.
