James Edward Harden Jr. is a professional basketball player from America, performing for the Houston Rockets of the National Basketball Association (NBA) on the point guard position since 2012. Initially, he was an amateur player in the Arizona State basketball club. However, his interest turned into love for the game and professionality. So, in 2009 the Oklahoma City Thunder selected him in the NBA draft, and the sportsman started working seriously.

Childhood and youth
James Harden was born on August 26, 1989, to the Christian family. The family's house was situated in the notorious district in California, the USA. His father, James Harden Sr, was addicted to drugs and spent much time in prison. That's why his mother Monja Wills had to support the big family herself (besides James, she had a daughter Arnique Jelks and a son Akil Roberson). James was the youngest child.
