English actor James D'Arcy was born in an ordinary family in London on August 24, 1975. The boy lost his father when he was not even six years old, and then he had a tough time. James and his younger sister Charlotte were raised by their mother. The woman worked as a nurse, and there was not enough money in the family.

In 1984, James D'Arcy was admitted to a boarding school for children from low-income families because he showed high academic performance. The future actor studied for seven years there.
