Vanessa Morgan Mziray, mostly known, as Vanessa Morgan, is a Canadian actress. She is famous for playing Beatrix "Bird" Castro in the MTV teen drama series Finding Carter, and Amanda Pierce in the Family teen comedy series The Latest Buzz. Besides, she has a notable hairstyle – braids – and perfect style of clothes which made Vanessa very special celebrity.
Childhood and youth
Vanessa Morgan was born in Ottawa, Ontario on March 23, 1992, to the multicultural family. As of her parents, she has Scottish mother and East African father. Before fame, Morgan won the Junior Miss America 1999 pageant and graduated from Colonel By Secondary School in 2010.
She entered Queen's University to study philosophy. She has a sister named Celina Mziray.
Movie career
Vanessa Morgan's acting career started in 2000 – she appeared in VH1's movie A Diva's Christmas Carol. Later, she got the role of Amanda Pierce in the comedy series The Latest Buzz. In 2010, fans could see Morgan playing in the television movies Harriet the Spy: Blog Wars and My Babysitter's a Vampire (as Sarah). The same year, Morgan also acted as 16-year-old Frankie in the flick Frankie & Alice. In 2011, the actress reprised her role as Sarah in the TV series My Babysitter's a Vampire and appeared as Hannah Mornell in a Disney Channel Original Movie titled Geek Charming.
2012 was marked by Vanessa Morgan's appearance in a few episodes of A.N.T. Farm. Shortly after, she was invited to take part in two episodes of Degrassi. Besides, she took part in the reality television competition series The Amazing Race Canada. Morgan was seen in an episode of the drama series Saving Hope the same year.
2014 brought the actress the recurring role of Beatrix "Bird" in the teen drama series Finding Carter. Around that time, Morgan played in the television movie Guilty at 17. In 2016 she applied for an audition for the main role of Lyria in the American fantasy drama series The Shannara Chronicles and passed it successfully. That year, she also joined the cast of the teen drama series Riverdale as Antoinette "Toni" Topaz – there she co-starred alongside Cole Sprouse, her best friend. Also, she played in the movie Pimp as Destiny.

Speaking about Vanessa Morgan’s relationship, she has been romantically linked with MLB player Michael Kopech (Brielle Biermann’s ex) since July 2018. In June 2019 she posted a breathtaking image to Instagram of her White Sox pitcher boyfriend getting down on one knee. Kopech, in his turn, shared the couple's happy news on his Instagram account, too, and included his new fiancée's surprised reaction in a priceless video.
In the clip, they stand in front of the waterfall, taking in the view before Kopech gets down on one knee and Morgan looks at him with a hand over her mouth, seemingly shocked. She appears to agree to marry him. They kiss each other at the end of the video. The news about the couple’s engagement became a subject of people’s discussions at once.
