    Malik Beasley: biography

Malik Beasley is a professional basketball player in the National Basketball Association (NBA).

    Childhood and youth

Malik Beasley was born on November 26, 1996 in Atlanta, Georgia. He attended Saint Francis High School in Alpharetta, Georgia, where he was a standout basketball player. During his senior year, he averaged 23.1 points and 6.8 rebounds per game and was named the Georgia Class A Player of the Year.

Beasley went on to play college basketball at Florida State University, where he had a strong freshman season and was named to the ACC All-Freshman Team. After just one year in college, he declared for the NBA draft and was selected in the first round by the Denver Nuggets. Beasley's talent on the court and his work ethic have been attributed to his upbringing and the support of his family.

    Basketball career

Malik Beasley's basketball career began at Saint Francis High School in Alpharetta, Georgia, where he was a standout player. He helped lead his team to a state championship during his junior year and was named the Georgia Class A Player of the Year during his senior year.

Beasley went on to play college basketball at Florida State University, where he had a strong freshman season, averaging 15.6 points and 5.3 rebounds per game. He was named to the ACC All-Freshman Team and helped lead his team to the second round of the NCAA tournament.

After just one year in college, Beasley declared for the NBA draft and was selected in the first round by the Denver Nuggets with the 19th overall pick in 2016. He spent his first three and a half seasons with the Nuggets, primarily coming off the bench and providing scoring punch. He had several strong performances during his time with the team, including a 27-point game against the Oklahoma City Thunder in 2019.

In February 2020, Beasley was traded to the Minnesota Timberwolves as part of a multi-player trade. He quickly established himself as a key player for the Timberwolves, starting in 14 of his first 15 games with the team and averaging 20.7 points per game during that stretch.

However, Beasley's off-court legal issues have overshadowed his on-court performance at times. In September 2020, he was arrested and charged with drug possession and receiving stolen property. He later pled guilty to a felony charge of threats of violence in December 2020, stemming from an incident in which he pointed a rifle at a family who had pulled up to his rental home. He was sentenced to 120 days in jail and three years of probation.

Despite these legal issues, Beasley remains a talented and promising player in the NBA. He has shown the ability to score at a high level and has the potential to be a strong contributor for any team.

    Personal life

Off the court, Beasley has had some personal issues. In December 2020, he was arrested on felony weapons and drug charges after police searched his home. He also made headlines in November 2020 when he was photographed holding hands with Larsa Pippen, the ex-wife of NBA legend Scottie Pippen, which led to speculation about their relationship. Beasley has been married to Montana Yao since March 2020, and the couple has a child together. However, the two are reportedly going through a divorce after the controversy with Larsa Pippen.
