Caleb Plant is a professional boxer from the United States who held the IBF super middleweight title from 2019 till 2021.

Childhood and youth

Caleb Plant was born on July 8, 1992, in Ashland City, Tennessee, to parents who were both boxers themselves. His father was a professional kickboxer, and his mother competed in martial arts tournaments. Growing up in a family of fighters, Plant was introduced to the sport of boxing at a young age and began training when he was just eight years old.

As a child, Plant faced several challenges, including poverty and homelessness. His family often struggled to make ends meet, and at one point, they were forced to live in a car. Caleb Plant has faced several challenges in his personal life, including the tragic death of his daughter in 2015. Plant's daughter, Alia, was just 19 months old when she died following the contraction of a respiratory infection, the illness progressed into pneumonia.It’s known, that his daughter experienced seizures due to an undisclosed medical ailment.

Besides, in March of 2019, an officer was forced to shoot Caleb Plant's mother, Beth Plant, as she brandished a knife. She was then taken to a hospital where she eventually passed away.

Plant has been open about the impact this tragedy has had on his life, and he has used his platform as a boxer to raise awareness about child abuse and advocate for justice for victims of domestic violence.
