Andy Biersack is the vocalist and frontman of the American rock group Black Veil Brides. Today, the singer is one of the most popular figures in the genre. He is also the only original member of the band.

Andy Biersack was born on December 26, 1990, in Cincinnati, Ohio. The boy’s parents were conservative Catholics, but they supported their son in his image experiments and hobbies.

When Andy graduated from school, he took an interest in music. The Damned and The Misfits were among the groups that formed his music taste at that time. Because these preferences differed from the majority, Biersack became an outcast among his peers, and high-school students were bullying him. Later, the artist called that his most difficult time and often shared his feelings in his interviews.

In a while, the family moved to California; the young man continued to develop his talent. He realized that nothing but music could bring him inspiration and enrolled at Cincinnati's School for Creative and Performing Arts. Music

In 2006, the beginning singer organized his first group Biersack. The young people recorded the first album and distributed it among friends and acquaintances. Later, the group transformed into Black Veil Brides whose peculiar image was inspired by the 1980s glam rock figures.

Andy and the guitarists Johnny Herold and Phil Cenedella were the first members. Later, the guitarists Nate Shipp and drummer Sandra Alvarenga were found via social networks. The musicians became famous in 2009 and signed contracts with record companies. In the course of time, the group members changed several times.

StandBy Records was the first to collaborate with Black Veil Brides. The debuting music video “Knives and Pens” showed what the vocalist had to endure when he went to a Catholic school. Soon, the video had 1 million views on YouTube; the audience also welcomed the first album We Stich These Wounds. Thus, the artists decided to go on.

They went touring in the USA and participated in On Leather Wings. The first week after the album release brought 100 000 copies sold. The same year, the musicians supported their colleagues and performed at concerts as guests.

In 2011, the second album, Set the World on Fire, was released. The title song from the album appeared as the soundtrack for the horror Transformers: Dark of the Moon. Black Veil Brides presented music videos and did not stop working at a studio. In 2011, fans welcomed the extended play Rebels; one of the songs, “Unbroken”, appeared in the movie The Avengers.

The third album was to finish 2012, yet it was released at the beginning of 2012. Wretched and Divine: The Story of the Wild Ones became number seven in Billboard top 200. Summer 2013 was marked with the renewed version Wretched and Divine Ultimate Edition with three exclusive tracks.

In 2014, the group presented the fourth album. Bob Rock who worked with Metallica was a producer; this collaboration promised success. In 2016, the next album Vale was announced; it was released at the beginning of 2018.

Andy Biersack’s reputation gave him the chance to create his own brand. He did not think about the meaning of his actions and ambitions: the musician gained what he wanted.

Andy Biersack has tried himself in various arts. He has some acting experience: the artist participated in commercials and appeared in the TV series Average Joe as a guest. In 2013, the soloist’s team presented the movie Legion of the Black produced on their own. In 2017, Andy gained the lead role in the movie American Satan.

Andy Biersack is married to Juliet Simms who is also a rock musician. Judging by their frequent photos together on Instagram, the couple is happy.

Andy devotes himself to art entirely. When he performs on the stage, he does not limit himself to non-planned actions. As a result, he often gets injured during his shows. For instance, he fell from the stage that was five meters high; he had to take a break and take care of his health.
