Netflix has presented the trailer of the upcoming documentary premiere, Homecoming: A Film by Beyoncé.
Beyoncé headlined the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival in Indio, California, last year. She was the first black female artist ever and the third woman after Lady Gaga and Bjork to headline the event. In fact, she was supposed to bring the heat to the stage in 2017 but putt it off due to her pregnancy.
The Netflix original shows the backstage moments of Coachella and the singer’s performance with occasional frames with Jay-Z and Ivy Blue. Maya Angelou narrates the story and emphasizes the main idea of the project as Beyoncé sees it: “What I really want to do is be a representative of my race, of the human race”.
The “Beychella” documentary promises to be worth seeing. The release is scheduled for April 17.
