Kate McKinnon is an American film actress and comedian, whose popularity brought participation in many stand-up shows, as well as long-term shooting in the entertainment television program Saturday Night Live.

Kate was born in the town of Sea Clif, located in the state of New York. The mother of actress Laura Campbell worked as a teacher, teaching children at home and her father Michael Thomas Berthold held the position of the architect in the city administration. Unfortunately, when Kate was 18 years old, the girl's father died. Her younger sister Emily was brought up in her family.
