Finn Wolfhard: biography
Cinematography has given millions of people the opportunity to become screen stars. What is more important, everyone has had this opportunity because gender, age, nationality, as well as the religious and political beliefs of a person did not play any role. Nevertheless, there is a category of child actors who have always been listed separately.

It can be easily explained because when they become older, some continue their acting career (a vivid example is Haley Joel Osment and Drew Barrymore), while others, like Macaulay Culkin and Edward Furlong, disappear from the screen or occasionally work on the set. Young Canadian Finn Wolfhard managed to come in full force in the world of cinema and television. People can only hope that he will follow the example of his older colleagues, Osmet and Barrymore, and will not disappear from the screen in a couple of years.
Childhood and youth
Wolfhard belongs to an entirely new generation of actors, those born in the twenty-first century (Finn was born in 2002). The boy spent the early years in his birth city, Vancouver. Finn was the second child in the family, and his parents also had a son, Nick.

Wolfhard’s ancestors came from France and Germany. They moved to another continent during the troubled times. When Finn grew up, his parents sent him to a Catholic school, where the young actor is still studying in his free time.
Films, series and music videos
For the first time, Finn thought about an acting career after watching the first parts of Sam Raimi’s Spider-Man trilogy. Like many other children, Finn could search for any information on the Internet quickly, so he found ads about auditions for the shooting of videos, TV shows and movies. It was not immediately, but the boy was lucky, and directors invited him to appear in the short film Aftermath (2013).

The following year, Wolfhard starred in the series The 100, which tells about people who survived the nuclear disaster. Then, Finn appeared in more cult TV series Supernatural. It is worth mentioning that this series was a start not only for Finn’s career but also for Dylan Minnette’s professional life (he played in the film adaptation of the books “Goosebumps” by Robert Stine, the horror film Don't Breathe and the series 13 Reasons Why that became the smash-hit).

The same year, Wolfhard met the band PUP. In May, the young actor already starred in their music video "Guilt Trip," playing the role of the PUP lead singer, Stefan Babcock. That was not the end of their collaboration, and in 2016 the band released one more video, where the boy also performed the role of Stefan (it was the personal request of the musician).
But the actor became famous for the role of Mike Wheeler in the Duffer Brothers’ series Stranger Things, which aired on Netflix in 2016 (although there is a controversy that it was the actors who made the series well-known). Stranger Things are considered to be a tribute to the glorious eightieth. It refers to the cult films The Thing, Poltergeist, The Goonies, and E.T. The Extra-Terrestrial, as well as to the books of Stephen King.

The hype around the series also affected director Andreas Mousquetti, who begun to shoot the film It (based on the novel of the above mentioned Stephen King). The situation with the adaptation was ambiguous because the director and screenwriter, Nic Pizzolatto, who gave the project a stimulus, left his post because of disagreements with the producers.

Some actors also refused to shoot. Mousquetti searched for other actors actively, because the organizers wanted to freeze the project. So, Wolfhard got a role of a boy, Richie Tozier, in the film It by chance.
Personal life
The boy spends most of his free time developing his acting skills. "There is no limit to perfection," Wolfhard says. Nevertheless, the young actor doesn’t forget to relax. He goes out with friends and plays the bass guitar. As for girls, Finn always laughs.
“I'm still too young for a serious relationship,” the actor says.

He denies speculation about a love affair with Millie Bobby Brown, one more star of the TV series Stranger Things. Brown also says:
“The boys are a few years older than me. We have made good friends, and I perceive them as elder brothers.”
Finn Wolfhard now
The Autumn of 2017 was a turning point for the young actor, because, in September, the horror film It premiered, and the second season of Stranger Things will be released on Halloween. Wolfhard is a little bit nervous about this, and he shares his feelings with his followers on Twitter and Instagram.
“The fact that thousands of people are following my life makes me happy and at the same time scares,” Finn says about social networks.
He does not plan to stop writing posts and posting photos.
It is already known that Wolfhard will return to the role of Richie Tozier in the second part of It, as well as his other colleagues, Jaeden Lieberher, Jack Grazer. Participation in the sequel to the Duffer Brothers’ series will be approved after the release of the new season.

Moreover, Finn works on the cartoon Carmen Sandiego. The actor will voice a minor character named Player. By the way, this cartoon was also sponsored by Netflix.
Besides the series, Wolfhard has also posed for the magazine covers (Dared), and for photo shoots of fashion exhibitions (he recently appeared as the hobbit, Bilbo Baggins). Finn does not forget about his fitness. The weight of 55 kg and the height of 163 cm are proper measurements for his age.
