Maria Halle Berry was born in August 1966 in Cleveland that in the State of Ohio. The girl was called in honor of the local sight – the Halle's Department Store supermarket. Except for Halle in their family, there was a daughter Heidi, two years older than Halle.
The parents of girls worked in the psychiatric clinic. Judith Ann Hawkins, the mother of Halle, worked as a nurse. Jerome Jesse Berry, the father of the future Hollywood star, was a driver.
