    Childhood

    The real name of the celebrity is David John McDonald. David took the name of one of the members of the band Pet Shop Boys as a stage name.

    The future actor was born in the small Scottish town of Bathgate on April 18, 1971. David's father, Alexander McDonald, served as Presbyterian minister in Ralston. The boy grew up with sister Karen and brother Blair, who were much older than him.
