Halle Berry is an American film actress. The audience remembers her by participation in the popular Hollywood movies.

Maria Halle Berry was born in August 1966 in Cleveland that in the State of Ohio. The girl was called in honor of the local sight – the Halle's Department Store supermarket. Except for Halle in their family, there was a daughter Heidi, two years older than Halle.

The parents of girls worked in the psychiatric clinic. Judith Ann Hawkins, the mother of Halle, worked as a nurse. Jerome Jesse Berry, the father of the future Hollywood star, was a driver. Their parents divorced when Halle was four years old, and Heidi was six. The girls hadn’t heard about their father anymore. Their mother got completely engaged in the upbringing and education of her daughters.

When Halle Berry began to attend the school, she faced the problem of racism for the first time. Till the 3rd form, Halle visited the educational institution in the area where black people lived. People were looking at white Judith Ann Hawkins with surprise. At school, everybody thought that Halle had been adopted. At the end of 1986, the young beauty took the 6th step of the prestigious competition "Miss World", having become the first Afro-American participant.

Brilliant results in the model business inspired Halle Berry so much that the girl decided to continue her model career and left college studies. Her low growth of 166 cm became an obstacle on the way to the tops of the fashion industry, but the way had been found. Berry appeared in TV commercials where her growth wasn’t so important. The film directed by Oprah Winfrey " Their Eyes Were Watching God" was one more project in which the Afro-American star had taken part. In this movie, Berry played a strong unprejudiced woman who in 1920-s managed to announce her non-conventional orientation, without being afraid of the condemnation of her contemporaries. For this role, Halle received another one Emmie Award.

The picture "Who Is Doris Payne?" and "Things We Lost in the Fire" are considered to be the most exciting of the latest projects with Halle Berry.

Personal life

The player of the baseball team David Justice became the first spouse of Halle. The couple got married in 1993. But this union lasted for 2 years only. In a year after they had broken up, they officially divorced.

In 2001 the actress got married to the musician Eric Benét. But this marriage also wasn’t long: the couple separated at the very beginning of 2005. But the personal life of Halle Berry had become better the same year. The star began to meet the model from Canada - Gabriel Aubry. The couple got acquainted during one of the photoshoots. The same year they got married. In 2008 a daughter Ariela was born to Halle and Gabriel. But in 2 years their marriage finished.

The changes in the private life of Halle Berry began in 2010 during the shootings of the film "Dark Tide". The actress got acquainted with the colleague from the movie set - Olivier Martinez. Halle and Olivier got married in summer of 2013. In autumn they gave birth to their firstborn Maceo Robert.

In October 2015 it became known that 2 years' marriage of actors had come to an end. The spouses separated. As it appeared later, they were living separately for several months separately, and they broke up peacefully.
