Jared Leto: biography

Jared Joseph Leto, an American actor and lead singer of the rock group “30 Seconds to Mars,” was born on December 26, 1971, in Bossier City, LA. Jared is not the only child – he has the elder brother Shannon. Jared’s creative abilities inherited from his mother Constance were seen since his early childhood. The woman did everything to support her sons. The father left the family when the boys were small, but he didn’t find happiness in his second marriage.

The man had two more children in the second family; soon, he died. The singer’s mother also married after the breakup. Jared and his brother were adopted by the stepfather, but this family did not last long either – the second husband divorced the boys’ mother.

In the drama about John Lennon’s murderer “Chapter 27,” Leto tried to play his character Mark Chapman as truthfully as possible. It was not an easy task for the young man who was a vegetarian. “30 Seconds to Mars”

Jared Leto has left a significant mark in cinematography, but his interests are not limited to acting. Now, the actor is also known as the front man of the alternative group “30 Seconds to Mars” created by the elder brother in 1998. Jared Leto creates the songs; he is the singer and guitarist; his brother is a drummer. Tim Kelleher was a bass player; Braxton Olita played keyboards; Tomo Miličević is a violinist and guitarist.

The group never gives performances with playback – it is the group members’ main principle, so all “30 Seconds to Mars” concerts are live.

The group released the first album with a simple title “30 Seconds to Mars” in 2002. The premiere of the second album was in 2005. The third album went to trouble – because of the legal issues with the recording company, the album “This is War” was out only in 2009. It was sold successfully, and the fans became even more interested in the group. In this respect, the group started world touring immediately; the group played in St. Petersburg at Tuborg GreenFest.

Personal life

Jared Leto’s personal life is characterized by rapid and minimalistic relationships. In 1995, the actor was fond of Kristi McDaniel who was playing in series and remains unpopular now. Later, the actor was seen with Tila Tequila, the scandalous TV personality, strip dancer, and adult movies star.

When Leto left her in the middle of the love affair, the Penthouse model Krista Ayne told journalists that she would place Jared in the third place among her 10 top boyfriends.

In 2003, Jared was seen walking with Britney Spears, but the singer only said she thought Jared was cute and they were not a couple.

Jared Leto and Lindsay Lohan’s affair began after shooting the movie “Chapter 27.” Their relationship lasted only for a few weeks, but according to different sources, if they met each other by chance after their breakup, they would come to each other and talk excitedly.

The friendship between Jared Leto and Paris Hilton was long and sensitive. When Paris was 16, they had insignificant relationships. In 2008, they were seen kissing passionately.

In 2005, the actor and Ashley Olsen began an affair. After their breakup, they tried to start everything anew but failed. In 1999, the actor was seen in the company of Sharon Stone, but neither party confirmed their relationship.
