Isabel Lucas: biography
A small, but significant role can show a young actress’s talent. In “Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen,” Isabel Lucas had only a couple of minutes; despite this, the actress managed to impress the movie crew and the audience.
Today, the bright movie star is often compared to Megan Fox, and some movie fans often believe Lucas is more talented.
Childhood and youth
Isabel Lucas was born on January 29, 1985, in the Australian city Melbourne. The actress’s mother came from Switzerland, and the father was Australian. There is no wonder that Isabel could speak several languages (English, German, and French): her international family contributed to her skills.
At six, Isabel and her family moved to Switzerland for a year. Later, Isabel and her sister finished the Abira school where European and Aboriginal children studied together.
Later on, Isabel entered the Victorian College of Arts where she studied drama for two years; then, she became the student of the Queensland University of Technology. In 2008, the would-be star moved to Los Angeles.
Similar to many popular actors, Lucas started climbing the career ladder from starring in ads. She advertised the toothpaste “Crest” and the tourist agency “Daylesford.”
In 2003, Isabel debuted in the Australian TV series “Home and Away.” The series began in 1988; Lucas starred there in 2003-2006 and appeared in 256 episodes. Initially, she auditioned for the role of Kit Hunter, but producers changed the script and created a new character for Lucas.
In 2009, the charming blonde played Alice in the movie “Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen.” It was the famous Steven Spielberg who recommended the actress to the movie director Michael Bay; Lucas and Spielberg met when at the Victorian College of Arts.
In the same year, the actress starred in the American mini-series about the Second World War “The Pacific” and the documentary “The Cove” telling the story of the mass execution of dolphins in Japan and consuming them.
At the beginning of 2010, the premiere of the fantastic anti-utopia about vampires “Daybreakers” took place. Ethan Hawke, Willem Dafoe, and Sam Neill were Lucas’s stage colleagues. In this project, the actress played Alison Bromley.
In the next year, Isabel appeared in the fantasy action movie by Tarsem Singh “Immortals” based on Ancient Greek myths. Lucas took the role of the goddess of wisdom and warfare Athena.
In October 2014, the premiere of the erotic thriller “The Loft” by the Belgian director Erik Van Looy. The movie told the story of four married friends who cheated on their wives in one and the same loft. James Marsden, Rachael Taylor, and Wentworth Miller also played in the movie.
In 2015-2016, Lucas participated in “Knight of Cups,” “Careful What You Wish For,” and “That’s Not Me.”
Isabel is a private person and rarely tells journalists about her relationships. In different times, paparazzi believed the actress was seeing Jake Gyllenhaal and Shia LaBeouf, but there was no evidence of that.
For a short time, Lucas was dating the leader of the group “30 Seconds to Mars” Jared Leto, but the reason for their breakup remained unknown.
Lucas leads a healthy lifestyle; she has no bad habits. Besides, she negatively views any plastic surgery operations: she believes Botox injections, breast augmentation, and rhinoplasty are a waste of time and effort.
Isabel is a fashion lover; she frequently visits Fashion Weeks Haute Couture in Paris, Milan, and New York. Her style is always impeccable and unique.
Thanks to her mother’s gene, the actress has a slim body, blonde hair, and bright eyes. With all these parameters, the young woman’s height (168 cm.) does not prevent her from participating in photo sessions and illustrating the newest fashion trends. For instance, in 2009, Lucas appeared in the conceptual photo session for “Glamor.” She posed against dunes and demonstrated warm colors as the recent trend.
In January 2017, the fantastic series “Emerald City” by Tarsem Singh came out; the project was based on the books by Lyman Frank Baum. A tornado transfers Dorothy Gale (Adria Arjona) from Kansas to the Land of Oz and starts looking for the Wizard (Vincent D'Onofrio). She has no idea she is to fulfill the prophecy which will turn everything upside down.
Lucas had the secondary role of Anna. Because the ratings were low, the series was closed on May 4, 2017.
In March, the second season of the American adventure TV series “MacGyver” was announced. The series tells the story of the secret US government organization that uses the scientific knowledge to rescue people in trouble. Isabel played Samantha Cage; Lucas Till, George Eads, and Tristin Mays also participated in this project.
In 2018, the actress will appear in “The 11th,” “The Ogilvy Fortune,” and “In Like Flynn.” Although Isabel’s schedule is heavy, she remembers to communicate with her fans and regularly posts photos from movie sets and vacation videos on her Instagram page.
